At Eagle Lawn Care we provide a range of lawn maintenance services for residential and commercial properties in eastern Lancaster County & western Chester County. Our affordably priced services include fertilizing, weed control, insect control, overseeding, lawn renovations, and nutsedge treatments.
Fertilizing
Fertilizing your lawn plays an important role in keeping it healthy, season after season. It helps to provide the soil with essential nutrients for the growth of your lawn. It is about 25% of fertilizer is organic. Most lawns in southeastern Pennsylvania require some form of added nutrients to grow to their full potential. For that reason, fertilization is one of the key components of our lawn maintenance program. As an added benefit, a healthier lawn boasts better natural weed control!
Pre-Emergent Weed Control
It’s not easy to control weeds in your yard; they’re enemies of any beautiful, green lawn. The purpose of pre-emergent weed control or grass control is to eliminate weeds before they are even able to germinate. Based on the weed types in your lawn (especially crabgrass, goosegrass, etc.), we recommend pre-emergent weed control as part of your regular lawn maintenance. This service will be performed 1 or 2 applications between early spring and mid-summer.
Post-Emergent Weed Control
Regular lawn maintenance will not eliminate all weeds before germination; most types of weeds need to be dealt with after they sprout. Dandelions and clover are two common weed types that we often deal with post-emergence, although there are others. This treatment is usually performed as part of regular fall lawn maintenance. We typically do post-emergent weed control in the summer and in the fall.
Insect Control
Insect control may be the most important lawn maintenance service for protecting both your lawn and your family. If not treated properly, a variety of insects can damage your lawn and bother your household while they play and spend time outdoors. Our insect control treatments (usually applied during the summer) help to get rid of ticks, fleas, grubs, and other undesirable bugs. As we know ticks are known carriers of serious diseases. For that reason, it is important to protect your loved ones and your pets. Keep your yard a beautiful and safe place to enjoy with your family!
Yellow Nutsedge Control
Yellow nutsedges are extremely aggressive weeds that infest lawns faster than most other weed varieties. Once discovered in a lawn, they require rigorous treatment to bring under control. Successful management involves both cultural and chemical methods, including specific nutsedge killers. This service will be provided once with the lawn treatment program. The second time, it is optional and will be available based on your needs.
Overseeding
Overseeding is the process of planting grass seed into existing turf, without tearing up the turf or the soil. It may be needed to fill in bare spots, improve the density of the turf, and enhance your lawn’s color. This service is not part of our regular lawn maintenance program and will be provided as needed upon your request. We are more than happy to advise you if you think your lawn may need overseeding to reach its full potential!
Lawn Renovations
Lawn renovation involves restoring a deteriorated turf or grass area to an improved condition. Be sure to correct any underlying lawn problems before beginning a lawn renovation. This treatment is best performed from the middle of August to the middle of October. For overseeding process, it will be used Tall Fescue. It is a cool-season grass that grows during cool spring. If problems in your yard are not solved with regular lawn maintenance, you may want to consider a lawn renovation.
